Recently I was diagnosed as chronically dehydrated. There must be many
who are because I drink water and no coffee. The Dr. measured my blood
volume using a blood pressure cuff and said I had passed out due to
hypovolemic shock. Bassically my blood volume has dropped due to loss
of water. My question is how to best re-hydrate (tap water can take to
much time, there are more effective ways) and what helps to "build
blood" once the water is restoring.

It's my understanding that water is better than tea or coffee because
the last two are diuretics.

I am sure that Crabcakes can enlighten us both.
