I would like to cook a reasonable amount of food, such as 6 or 8 servings of a casserole or chicken divan or beef stroganoff, and then freeze each individual serving so that it can be easily heated in a microwave. What should I freeze the food in? plastic wrap? ziploc bags? How long can I keep the food in the freezer? How long do you think I should heat a serving in the microwave so that it is warmed thoroughly but not dried out? I am hopeful that an experienced cook will help a beginner like me. Thanks. |

Greetings, There are plastic containers that are freezer-to-microwave, look like Tupperware, who may have such. Heating in a microwave is dependent on weight and the temperature of the food, obviously longer for frozen food than for such at room temperature. Your pamphlet for the microwave will probably have some instructions. This is just a free comment, not an "answer" to your question. Good luck, Myoarin |

Hi Myoarin, I appreciate your ideas. I'm going to experiment with Glad Press'n'Seal. Thanks, SusieQ123 |
