Can you please provide me with sales statistics and sales facts that
relate to the growth of small-medium size businesses, and to sales
professionals?  I am writing a book on sales and would like to include
this information for the readers.

I began looking for sales statistics and data at http://www.census.gov/
I was able to come up with an Economic Factsheet, it had sales by
industry, it was from 2002.
The site www.geodata.gov ( http://gos2.geodata.gov/wps/portal/gos )
has maps of data.
It seems as though none of these resources was a help to answer your
specific question.  I cannot help think the data is in there
somewhere.
