Are there legal/copyright issues if one uses the content of newspaper ads (classifieds/display) on their website while giving proper credits to the newspaper e.g. ?this advertisement has been taken from XYZ newspaper?? If there are no legal issues, can one use this information for commercial purpose? If there is a problem using this information for commercial purpose, can one use it for non-commercial purpose e.g. free service to the consumer. | |

The copyright belongs to the company advertising itslef, not the newspaper. |

Which scenario are you contemplating here? (1) If a company places an ad in the newspaper and then wants to use that ad on the company's website... (2) If a Company A sees Company B's ad in the newspaper and wants to use it on Company A's website... |
