I'm currently running an ecommerce site that specializes in music
imports (the catalog is an amalgam of 4 catalogs, US, AUS, Canada and
a European). The site is receiving upwards of five thousand unique
visits a day, but is selling very few titles. This is due to the
complete lack of information on each CD as well as the horrible
turnaround times to shipping. I need comprehensive information on
where I can find cd distributors, whether or not they can drop ship,
their order minimums, and how much it will cost to use them. I also
need to know where I can get the information that people want before
purchasing their CD (cd covers, track listings, etc) and how much the
various options will cost.

Distributors selling posters and sheet music would also be nice.

listings, etc). But I am confuse about the first part, what kind of
service are you looking for? And where are your store located?
May be you can split this question in two different questions, so I

My prefered solution would be to drop ship products to customers. This
may not be available or adequate either on the profit or selection
side. Having multiple catalogs as we currently do would of course help
on the selection side. However if drop shipping does not offer low
enough prices, I'm prepared to purchase from distributors at their
minimum quantity then repackage and resend the cds out to customers.
Basically, I'm looking to replacement our catalogs & distributor.
