What were Robert Davis's remarks when presented with an Oscar for best
short film--1960?  The name of the film was the Day of the
Painter--don't know if it was a documentary or action category.

Are you certain that Robert Davis received the award? He was the
director of "Day of the Painter," but references that I have seen say
that the Oscar was given to Ezra Reuben Baker, who produced, wrote,
and starred in the film.

will research my records further, but the late Robert Davis (d. Nov
2005) had an actual statue. i'm interested in knowing if he said
anything on that evening whenever it was. thanks.
