All day I've been trying to work out a particular song that's been
floating around in my head. I remember bits of the melody but no
actual lyrics. In a desperate effort to find out the name of the song
and the artist I made an mp3 of part of the song reproduced badly by
myself. The piece I would classify as popular music, pretty mellow
with quite a bit of piano, fairly slow paced. I've placed the mp3 file
I created at http://www.mikecad.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/thing.mp3 and
would really really appreciate if someone could have a listen, and try
to work out what the song is and who it is by.

I reckon its 80s, I know many groups who it certainly is not. Hoping
those few notes (which are performed on a piano) rings some bells.
