I'm afraid I can't find any evidence that commercial tapes of
"Fernwood 2nite" or "America 2nite" exist. This disappoints me, since
I am a big fan (and an even bigger fan of "Mary Hartman, Mary
Hartman," the parent show.)

Two "Best of MHMH" tapes were released in the early '80s, but I don't
think any episodes of "Fernwood 2nite" have ever been released for
sale.

Your best bet probably is to videotape the show yourself. It is
currently being rerun on the TVLand cable network:

I wish they were available - I would purchase all the episodes. My
favorite eps were the ones where the man came on to claim that leisure
suits caused cancer (http://www.tvtome.com/Fernwood2Night/season1.html)
and the one where Kenneth Mars had the chin strap to correct his
underbite. That was one great show. Perhaps write to the Norman Lear
Center and see if you can get any copies of any of the episodes:

Good luck in your quest.
