Downloaded a large file (2.71 gig) via bit comet.  Usually files this
size a .rar   But these files each look like this 5308ctp-lh.r00  then
the next is .r01,r02 etc......  Not sure how to make these files
readable and need this for a study.  Any suggest>?

As far as I know, all the files are .rar format.  As long as you have
a program to unzip .rar files (ie winrar) you should be set.  In your
case, the .rar file is split into a series of .r01, r02, r03... So,
just unzip ANY of those files (right click/unzip) and winrar will
automatically go through the entire series and produce the downloaded,
readable, continuous file, by automatically reading all your
downloaded files.  As far as I know, they split big files into
multiple .r## to make it easier to re-download a smalelr file if it's
corrupted, rather than havng to re-download the entire 2.71 gigs over
again.
