Is funkitron Scrabble rigged? Example: I notice almost everytime it exchanges
letters, the next move it uses all seven letters. When I exchange
letters, I usually get back similar useless tiles. I play at the
master level and win about one game out of every 25. I'm no expert
but no slouch either.

I've wondered the same thing myself. I have made it past "Pro", but
can't seem to get any further. And you're right, when it exchanges
letters, the next move it uses them all, and then gives me letters I
can't do anything with--Q, Z, X and J in particular. I also notice it
uses words that aren't in my dictionary, and I can't use words that
are in my Webster's dictionary.

Something's afoot.....

Wildebeast, Pateeh --

Make sure that you know what version of the "Official Scrabble
dictionary" Funkitron is using. Though I haven't used that site,
it's an important issue on other sites (like games.com).

Google search strategy:
"official Scrabble dictionary"

Funkitron Scrabble is run by the computer opponent Maven.

But, Maven is very very good. And really knows how to manage the rack.

There is a dictionary update to the game to Official Scrabble
Dictionary Version 4.0 at www.funkitron.com

I recommend you get it so that you can play all the currently accepted words.
