What options are available for regularly (5-10 times/week)
transporting 20-25 upscale American guests from San Diego and greater
Los Angeles to Ensenada, Mexico (85 miles south of the border)?
Our objective is to ensure that our guests feel relaxed and pampered
during the journey.
We seek all appropriate options, but we need price and time data for
comparison (ie, price of regularly chartering 20-25 passenger
turboprop aircraft from L.A. and San Diego to Ensenada Airport (ESE);
price of chartering luxury tour bus for same; duration of travel from
departure point to Ensenada).
Assumptions:
* 70% of guests are female, 35-55 years old, household income >$150k/yr
* Most guests unwilling to drive their automobiles 85 miles through
Mexico to destination.
* Bus travel is not an option unless it is extraordinarily luxurious;
and, unless Tijuana/San Diego border crossing procedure can be quick
and efficient. (I understand this is unlikely, but perhaps charter
buses enjoy streamlined passage?)
Additional information:
* Ensenada's airport (ESE) can accommodate turboprop and private jet aircraft.
* ESE serves as an international "port of entry", thus passengers from
the US can clear directly into Ensenada.
In short, since the travel will "bookend" the guests' weeklong luxurious
experience, it must be relaxed and stress free--especially since most
guests, rightly or wrongly, have reservations about traveling in
Mexico. We welcome any additional creative travel solutions as well. |
