Over the years, I have downloaded and paid for a number of shareware
utilities that typically perform one particular task. I?m wondering if
there is a universal audio/video suite out there that could take care
of most of my needs.

Typical requirements include:

Convert video formats
Join or split videos
Join or split audios

There are utilities out there that can do any of these tasks, but I
wonder if there is Swiss Army knife suite out there that takes care of
everything.

I like to have a minimalist desktop, and hopefully there is one icon
could take care of all of my AV editing needs.

Thank you.

Personally, I use "MPEG Video Wizard" for all those tasks. There is a
free trial version available for download; I suggest that you try it:

If that is what you are looking for, you can let me know.

Sorry for the late response, I've been traveling.

I've reviewed both "MPEG Video Wizard" and "VideoCharge". Both
programs will do the job, but I've decided to go with "VideoCharge".

Pinkfreud, thank you for your comment and please post it as an answer.

drappier,

I'm delighted to learn that my comment was useful! I've reposted the
link to VideoCharge below. I have not used this software myself, but
it is well-regarded by some of my online acquaintances who are
involved in amateur video.

I've heard good things about VideoCharge:01

NOTE: Please ignore the '01' at the end of "VideoCharge" in my comment
above. I pasted in the link, then typed the text, at which point a
cat walked across my keyboard, inserting the '01' and then stepping on
the 'Enter' key. Cats are great pets, but lousy typists.

This might have tools for this as well.
