Question ID: 703865
I'm looking for a copy of Tetris but I don't know which company made
the one that I used to have; all I know is that the soundtrack which
came with the game includes the song Hardcore Vibes by the artist
Dune. Which company made it, what's the full title, and if possible,
where could I buy it?

The soundtrack was on the same CD as the game of course; and it was
also playable on a regular CD player outside of the game. It runs in
Windows.

It might be Next Tetris but I have no way of confirming this.

Okay, definitely not Next Tetris. It certainly doesn't seem to be any
of the versions on gamefaqs, but it was definitely bought in a store
and not online. I believe I obtained the game between 1998-2002, as I
had it in high school.

Also, instead of a Russian landscape like in teh origina Tetris, I
believe the background of the cover was a skyscraper landscape.

I believe "Tetris Techno Remix" is what you are looking for. Does this sound right?

Well, since this is the computer forum and the date is between 98 and
02, I'm led to believe that it may be Tetris Worlds:
http://thq.com/tetrisworlds/main.html. However, it may have been
available before then. Why, exactly, do you need this specific version
of Tetris?

I really liked the music... it was extremely catchy techno.

And I'm pretty sure it isn't Tetris Worlds... I would have remembered
if it involved alien species...

Also, "Tetris Techno Remix" is a song, not a game. A good song yes,
but not what I'm looking for.

I see... it does appear that Tetris Techno Remix is a game but only a
couple sites list it as that. I doubt that would be the one I'm
looking for as the game I had was a pretty short title... but if I
could find that particular game I'd try it anyway.

Never mind, it was some strange fault of a specialized search engine,
it picked up the song as a game title. :P

Tetris - Dr Spin Remixes

Is that what you are looking for?

It's actually a single, a remixed version of the theme tune licenced
from Nintendo and released in Europe.
It even cracked the top 10 charts in the UK in 1992.
Published by Polydor/Carpet Records.

Not quite what I was looking for, but thanks for checking! Great music it be.

The version of Tetris I'm looking for is definitely the game, it just
happened to have some really good background music is all. I believe
there were around 10 tracks on the game cd.
