Can someone please confirm that this is the title of the game, and is
there any way I can buy a used copy of the game? I tried contacting
the company that originally made it, but they said they no longer have
it available. It is an old edutainment game for DOS and I played it
when I was about 5 years old (around 1989). The music theme of the
animation where Ricky Raccoon gets closer to the club treehouse after
each successful solving of a math speed-test was the William Tell
Overture.

Thomson Learning Tools is the name of the company I contacted.

Okay, turns out the game was shareware and downloaded off of the
internet. I could have sworn we had a physical copy but if it was
shareware that should be slightly easier to track down I hope...

There are more than one pieces of software with 'Ricky the
Raccoon'....you mention you contacted the original publisher but you
didn't say who that was...that might help a researcher track it
down!!! (You say you contacted the publisher yet still want a
clarification on the name???)

Thomson Learning Tools is the company I believe... I am pretty darn
sure they are the ones who made the math game many years ago but I
could be wrong. I've noticed that a lot of edutainment businesses in
general have merged over the years. McGraw-Hill seems to be another
candidate. (http://www.mcgraw-hill.com/edu/default.shtml). All I know
is that Adventures of Ricky Raccoon: Lost in the Woods is the only
other Ricky Raccoon game that I've seen and it looks similar to the
Ricky I knew as a kid.

Also, I don't evenr ecall exactly what teh company's response was, all
I know is that it wasn't even in their records in any form. I wasn't
able to get the exact name from them.

Or it might have been in their records, just not available to buy? Ah
well. I know this might be a difficult game to track down nevertheless
so I might increase the reward for the answer over time.
