Why would I have a "bcm5701" driver on my computer? It is listed in a
blank category in my system? I want to know what it is used for or
attached to.

A registry search would tell you what program installed it. Have you
searched Google?

Does any of this look familiar? What is the file extension?

Howdy n1ed-ga,

It appears that a BCM5701 is a ethernet controller. Do you have an ethernet
card installed in your computer, or an ethernet port on your motherboard?
