Using Mac OSX; When I send email and have text such as [I've] the apostrophe, when received by the receiver sees [I?ve]. I'm assuming that the mac character does not equal that of the PC character. How can I stop my message from placing the question mark in place of the apostrophe? | |

Is your email client set up to use ISO-8859-1 as its character set? |

I will check that! But this occurs even if I cut and past into dotMac web based email client, Mail client, Apple's Pages product and Microsoft's Word product for Mac. As I have two new Mac's and have basically left Preferences as defaults, I'm hoping their is a global setting that I'm simply not aware of that could be changed. I would only image that all Mac users have this problem but have never heard of a way to resolve the issue. I simply contact people and say sorry about all the question marks throughout the document/email, etc. |
