possible, match this situation (and preferably not hip hop or rap
songs with a lot of slang):
A girl is dating/sleeping with this new guy for a couple of months,
and she's absolutely crazy about him. When they're together,
everything is great. But he's still hung up on his ex-girlfriend, and
he's in denial about it. The ex-girlfriend has moved on and has
another boyfriend, but she's still good friends with the guy, and they
talk and spend time together. She still wants to have power over
him/keep him wrapped around her finger, even though she doesn't care
about him anymore; she's selfish, wants to keep him around to boost
her ego, have him as a safety net/fall-back plan. The new girl starts
to worry because she's afraid to fall for him if he's only pretending
to care about her and is still wrapped up in the past.

Yes, those lyrics are good...they say several of the things I'm
looking for. I'm hoping to get a list of 20ish songs that somehow
relate to the situation (to cover all the different ideas in the
situation, because I figure there's no one song that will touch on it
exactly).
In "If I Were Your Woman", it sounds as though the man is still with
the other woman, and the new woman is trying to pull him away from
her...in the situation I'm trying to find lyrics about, a girl is
currently dating/sleeping with the guy (he's with her in body, and
says it in words), but she's worried that his mind and heart are still
with his ex, because she (the ex) keeps hanging around to selfishly
keep his affections and play with his mind, and he's for some reason
so eager to be her friend and keep her in his life, even though he
ended it after finding out she'd cheated on him, and now she's with
someone else and has been for 8-ish months. These phrases/ideas in
particular:
you're with me now, but your heart is still with her/in the
past/living in yesterday's memories
are you killing time with me hoping she'll come back to you someday
when you close your eyes and i'm in your arms, is it her you picture
that you're still holding
i.e., you're here with me now physically, but where is your heart? am
I just the stand-in? will you ever let her go/live in the
present/learn to love me?
If you can find more songs similar to "If I Were Your Woman," and some
that include the ideas I just listed here, that would be perfect. I'm
looking for 20ish songs, but less or more are fine as long as there
are a somewhat large amount or several that touch really closely on
