What device can I use to simulate "cold" in a middle school tundra biome?

What sort of simulation did you have in mind?

If you really want to make the display cold, some dry ice might do the
trick...just be careful handling it.

If you just want the project to just look cold, though you could:

--use any white surface (styrofoam, white poster board) to look like
snow and ice...a bit of artistically applied paint, frosting,
white-out, etc will certainly help things along.

--draw an oversized thermometer on paper showing the desired temperature

--have some cold-weather images -- people in heavy parkas, furry
animals (any polar bears in your tundra?), etc.


If this isn't the sort of thing you're looking for, let us know in a
