My laptop will not allow me to log into a website, but my desktop will
allow me to log into the same website.  I have turned off firewall,
reduced privacy settings, tried a different browser.  Cannot figure
out how one allows username and password and the other does not.

Have you tried enabling cookies for that website (and checked caps lock), etc?

Will it be possible for you to name the website ? Were you using the
same Internet Browser on desktop and laptop ? Check on cookies. Try
cross-checking the Options in Tools menu.

I'm assuming the password is hidden when entered, maybe the password
is being miss entered due to keyboard malfunction. I recommend opening
notepad and entering your password there as you normally would and
making sure the characters entered match what was typed.

I would re-boot the laptop and try again.
