Here's a detailed pricing report from September 2005:

Similar reports are also available for Europe and Asia.

What additional information would you need to make for a full answer?

Of course!

The reports for glycerine are described here:

http://www.icislor.com/il_shared/Chemicals/SubPage506.asp

Note that there is a link to report Methodology, in case that is of
interest, as well as a link for a free Trial Request for the chemical
pricing service.

The Europe report is here:

http://www.icislor.com/il_shared/Samples/SubPage99.asp

and the Asia report is here:

http://www.icislor.com/il_shared/Samples/SubPage213.asp

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you on this.

is there any data on the pharma grade vs crude pricing

blucken-ga,

You can see pricing for USP grade glycerin here:

http://www.americarx.com/index.asp?PageAction=MFGSEARCH&ManfID=187&Page=1

which puts the price at $64.99 for 4 liters, or $16.25 per liter.

I did not see any quotes for bulk purchases, however.

If you need additional information, just let me know.

Here are some other quotes for USP grade glycerin:

http://www.spectrumchemical.com/retail/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=Chemicals&category%5Fname=&product%5Fid=3043345

including a bulk price of $1574.05 (why .05???) for 200 liters, or
about $7.87 per liter.
