Hi lex123, If you go to http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/jwb/wwwjdic?1C and put in 'meeting place' without the quotes, and press Begin Search, you'll be presented with a list of words. You can see the kanji and hiragana if your browser allows it. Here's how you pronounce them. 1st entry : place where a meeting (conference, etc.) is held (pronounced as kaisaichi) 3rd entry : meeting place; assembly hall (pr. shyukaijyo) 4th entry : meeting place; club (pr. kaijyo) 5th entry : meeting; meeting place; geisha entertaining room (pr. machiaii) 7th entry : meeting place; seats for the public; restaurant dinner (pr. kaiseki) 8th entry : assembly hall; meeting place; the grounds (pr. kaijyou) 9th entry : meeting-place; rendezvous (point); roll-call (assembly) point; appointed (designated) place (pr. shyugoubasho) Hope this helps. |

If by "pinyin" you mean transliteration into Japanese, then it would be: "gazaringu pureisu." English words are often Japanized in this way (e.g., "shattoru" for badminton shuttlecock, "howaito" for white). Although I've never heard "gazaringu pureisu" and I live in Japan, "gathering" and "place" are two words common enough that they might be transliterated and understood here in Japan. |
