Hey there, i've been living and working in China for the past 4 years.
There are a couple of online resources that almost all expats
(foreigners living in Shanghai) use to find jobs or part-time work.

Log on to the classifieds of the following expat communities.
Cityweekend's site tends to have the most robust listings:
www.shanghaiexpat.com
www.cityweekend.com.cn/en/shanghai
www.8days.sh
www.thatsshanghai.com

also you can find the occasional job posting on the following sites:
craigslist shanghai
www.danwei.org (primarily beijing)

If you're able to read Chinese, the best employment site is
www.zhaopin.com though it tends to weigh heavily for companies looking
to hire Chinese nationals.

To be honest though if you're not picky about the kind of work you
want to do (such as tutoring, freelance writing, or teaching english)
then the best way to find work in Shanghai is to move here first, meet
people, trawl the expat sites and something usually comes up.
