Dear Lilgreeny,

Globalisation is a process, in which societies become more and more
inter-dependant.

Here you can read more about it:

Wikipedia - Globalisation

Global Research
<http://www.globalresearch.ca/>

Guardian - Special Report - Globalisation

Globalisation @ About.com

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer before you rate it.

You make it sound as though there's one technical term for this
process - perhaps there is, but I don't know it. However, this is
essentially what the word "civilization" means - people coming
together to form cities and nation states, which then trade, visit and
exchange cultural ideas with each other (but also, of course, also
sometimes argue and go to war). Nowadays, the word "globalization" in
its more positive aspects also embodies this concept of the peoples of
the world becoming more mutually dependent and recognising their
common interests and aspirations.

It's just occurred to me that this might be a homework question. If
so, be careful about quoting my comment above, unless you think your
teacher knows as little about anthropology as I do!
