Question ID: 705394
I just heard a couple of old time radio productions of two suspense
stories by John Collier: Casting of the Runes and Back for Christmas.
I'm wondering if he wrote any other stories in the suspense/horror
genre and whether they have have been published as a collection
anywhere. A $2 tip if you can find a collection still available for
order somewhere.

Statman,

I highly recommend "Fancies and Goodnights," mentioned by Rainbow
above. I have worn out three paperback copies of this book. I love
short stories that have a little twist, and John Collier was a master
of this type of story. If you like Collier, you may want to look at
the short stories of Roald Dahl, another master of twisty short
fiction. Dahl is best known for his children's fiction, particularly
"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." But he had another side, as the
author of numerous stories for adults which are filled with irony and
dark wit.

My deepest apologies for the delay in responding.

I do not recall getting an E-mail notice that you had responded.

I finally checked back after not hearing anything for two weeks and
found your comment.

Fancies and Goodnights is what I am looking for. Thanks for locating it.

As a token of apology, I plan on sweetening the tip a little.

Thanks you for your work on this.

I think you have to submit your comment as an answer before the system
will let me close this out so you can be paid.

So far I have not had any luck on my end with getting the system to
pay you but will keep trying.
