Dear agausling,
There is an actual company of the name "Intelligents Limited" in the
UK. However, someone is obviously misusing the companys name for
fraudulent activities.
I checked the official British database of registered companies [1],
and I found out that a company named Intelligents Ltd. exists. They
have been incorporated already on 18 September 1997, and they are
located at 16 Silverston Way, Stanmore. There is absolutely no
connection to one Pascal Jach.
I also managed to find the website of that actual company:
http://www.intelligents.co.uk/
As you can see, they are not at all dealing in entertainment
electronics and the like. Rather, their business is to set up and to
maintain computer networks. Note that their e-mail address is
sales@intelligents.co.uk, and that their telephone number is (+44)020
8420 7116. Also, they are listed in the UK Yellow Pages [2] with that
number and under the address as recorded by the Companies House.
I have searched the web and found numerous offers for electronics
allegedly by Intelligents Ltd. Those offers had certain things in
common:
- They were posted at business-to-business marketplaces or similar
websites in countries far away from Britain, where anyone can post
offers without being checked for legitimacy
- There is always one "Adam Brown" mentioned as the owner
- Numerous different telephone numbers are provided. Sometimes, the
actual company's number is listed; the scammers are obviously sure
that no one in a far overseas country will bother to do the
long-distance call to check whether everything is legit
- Sometimes, an e-mail address is provided: aboric@gmail.com. As you
see, that address is not connected with the actual company at all.
One Michael Zakroff got scammed by those misusing the name of
Intelligents Ltd. and using the aboric@gmail.com e-mail address, as
you can read here:
http://trading.timway.com/scammer/scammer_detail.php?id=97
It is absolutely obvious that in this case, fraudsters took the name
of an actual company to make their scam appear legit and credible.
However, the text they used in various cases clearly shows that they
English is certainly not their mother tongue:
"INTELLIGENTS LIMITED,from 1997 until this moment, developed an large
activity by sell and buy more Softwere& Electronics Products and with
an large kind of customers, open new relationships. also,we search here
to find new customers wich can be interesting and with our central
location in MIDDLESEX,assure trough an shop any kind of services, from
selling until service for our all products."
As you can see, their attempt to pretend they are English is very poor.
The conclusion: There is a company Intelligents Limited. But they are
not identical with the fraudsters offering electronics under that
name.
By the way, I'd be very interested in learning where you found the
data of "Pascal Jach" in connection with this scam.
Regards,
Scriptor
