Hi, I would like info on how I can set up a money management firm.I am a doctor by profession but I have a keen interest in the stock market and I have been able to invest successfully in the stock market. I would like to set up an investment vehichle (with the least amount of regulatory hoops to jump through) through which I can start managing money for others. I dont know what would be the nature of such a company....private investment firm? asset management firm? the less formal the better. Do I have to pass any cerification exams or get any licenses? What are the legal and accounting issues I have to take care of? Please list step by step what I have to do to set up such a company. Thanks | |

You need to find a securities attorney who is nowledgeable in both '40 Acts as well as State Blue Sky Laws. Any answer you get on here will be insufficient. You can also try asking on seclaw.com |
