I need to do some transcription of a jazz trio and I am looking for software to help me in this endeavor. Can you reccomend for me the best software out there? I use a Mac, so it must be compatible with OSX. A suitable answer would require you to have some experience with the software and know firsthand that it is the best. |

Hello, I am at best an amateur musician: learning/playing guitar for 10+ years learning piano for 3+ years anyway, for Transcribing music on OS X, I don't think you can beat: Transcribe! Sadly mac users aren't catered for very well in this field. The best software to use is TablEdit ( http://www.tabledit.com/ ). It's not the best, but it's the best for Mac. It is actually a very good peice of software but not as good as the PC softwares available. Hope this helps you, Alistair |
