I'm looking for a way to contact the author of the billmon.org blog.
The blog is very popular, and he is listed on DailyKos.com under "Kos
Alumni" but that's all I know.. I can't find an e-mail address on
billmon.org, and the billmon.org domain was registered through a
domains-by-proxy service so there's no contact information there. I
can't even find any source that identifies the author by name. In
fact, he wrote an article in the LA Times that was attributed to just
"Billmon":
http://www.freepress.net/news/4741
suggesting that he really strongly prefers that handle to being
identified by his real name. But I'll pay if anyone can find any
contact info.

bennetthaselton...

I can't be absolutely sure this will work, but here's what I found.

Using a site-specific Google search, I found a result with a
snippet saying:

"a contact email would be nice, so we could send things for your
attention... Contact email has already been taken care of"
http://billmon.org/archives/000232.html

Sure enough, it was Billmon, indicating he'd added a link just
below the Brecht quote (on the front page), though it's not there
now.

Since the post was dated June 11, 2003, I headed over to the
Wayback Machine (Internet Archives) and checked out the URL
for the homepage, and scanned through the results for one that
contained the elusive email address:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://billmon.org/

Sure enough, the archived page for Sep 30, 2003 had his email
address listed as billmon@billmon.org (pretty obvious, huh?):
http://web.archive.org/web/20030930121635/http://www.billmon.org/

I'm pretty sure that will still work, and that he just took it
down after all his major fans had it.

Just in case it doesn't, I also found an open thread on which
you could post a comment and your email address. The thread is
old, and I don't know if posting on it would bring it to his
attention, but apparently he doesn't do open threads anymore,
so that's the best I can suggest:
