flupox14...

These are the instructions from the readme.txt for flashing
my BIOS:

"CAUTION: To update, make sure that you are using a Win95 or
Win98 boot disk ONLY. Also make sure to press the F5 key
immediately once the floppy disk starts to be used so that
all memory resident programs will be blocked out. If this
is not accomplished then you will get an error during the
flash procedure instructing that HIMEM programs are present
and the flash will be halted. Then at the A: prompt simply
type in "flash" and the rest will be handled by the files
 included in your download."

It seems to me that you just need to make a bootable CD
using Windows 98, and copy the flash files to the CD as
well. Then make sure your computer is set to boot from
CD as the first option, boot the CD and click on the
appropriate batch file and let the program do its thing.

Let me know where this takes you...

Will this work for Windows xp?

Yes, it will work for Windows XP. The Windows operating system
is irrelevant and uninvolved with the process of updating the
BIOS on the motherboard. A Windows 98 boot floppy disk is just
the simplest way of interfacing with the system and running the
batch file. Naturally you should follow the specific instructions
that come in the readme.txt file that comes with BIOS upgrade
specific to your motherboard.

If not really required, I would not suggest flashing the bios.
Sometimes flashing the bios creates problem may even cause booting up
issues on your computer.

My suggestion is, if not really needed dont flash your bios. I am
telling you this from 7 years of experiace in this field
