I am interested in creating an online information portal where I will
list different online services that match specific categories. I would
like to know the legalilities regarding listing services names as well
as copying the description of the service from their website. Is it
legal to copy the description from their site if I write that the
description was copied directly from their site (such as quoting a
book in a report and then stating that I got it from that book). Also
is it legal to list them on my information portal without their
permission and to link to them as well. I am looking for an answer as
well as sources that prove that they are correct. Please don't just
give links but quote the important information you are linking to as
well.
