I have let my North Carolina license expire and then got a DUI in NC.
I now am dlooking to move to Florida or South Carolina and then take
the necessary classes to regain my license. Which state is the easiest
to get a license or are there any other states with less strict rules
on getting a new license?

Well first of all,I feel I'm an expert on this question.By being
stopped in Fla. and in S.C. for dui in SC and dwi In fla.It would be
my bet that SC would be way easier.I was also one of the first for the
Driving awareness program that is manditory in SC and probably even
more severe in Fla.THe cost of the Sr-22 insurance maybe alittle more
equal given the facts of SC higher insurance rates.Rates will vary but
my recommendation would be to try some type of non-owners.I remember
the days my brother and I had the phone number memorized for this
company out of columbia but today I couldn't even think of the
name.BUt after a quick Google I got......

They will help you I'm sure. Its not the original but I remember they
offered a payment plan that worked for us.Hope I was a little help!

I forgot the most important apart. Both states will do a background
check for the state that you previously lived. (probably from the
state on the docs like birth certifacate,SS card)
