"SALOMON, ALAN GORDON, 64, of Memphis, free-lance writer, died
Wednesday at Baptist Hospital East. Mr. Salomon was former publicity
director for the St. Louis Blues hockey team and for the former
Hartford Whalers hockey team. He was a graduate of the University of
Memphis and served in the Air Force Reserve. He was a member of Temple
Israel. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Temple
Israel. He leaves a son, David Gordon Salomon of Memphis, and a
sister, Emily Salomon Stasi of The Villages, Fla. Memorial
contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Temple
Israel."
