Greetings all There's a lot of info out there on the size of the IT market... quarterly and annual numbers put out by Gartner and IDC et al. I'm wondering whether anyone has come across info based on the size of companies doing the purchasing. That is, whether there's a way to figure out IT spending by companies with less than 100 employees, 100-500, 500- 1,000 ... that kind of thing. Ideally, this info would give an indication of what the spending in the various product areas is (servers, software, storage, etc). This is my first time here at Google answer, so I'm, not sure how to price this request. I'm thinking there might be someone out there who just be able let me know whether these kinds of numbers are available. Look forward to hearing from someone out there... many thanks, in advance. |

Meaulnes -- I've done a few IT spending answers, though data's getting a little harder to find. Here's one that looks at percentage spending by industry. It doesn't exactly answer your question but may be a good start for you: "IT Budget .vs. Total Budget" http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=121925 Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |
