Here are three examples of promotional games/contests that have terms and conditions in English that state they are operated under Dutch law. I have also provided links to the Dutch Advertising Code's sweepstakes and contests provisions. Sincerely, Wonko "KLM Scratch & Win" http://www.hellasnet.gr/campaigns/klm/scratchandwin/terms_conditions/oroi.html states that "Dutch law is applicable to this contest" under "General Conditions." "'.Com & Celebrate' terms and conditions" http://www.klmcelebrates.com/uk/terms.htm states "Dutch law applies to this Promotion (including these terms and conditions)." "TXT to Win" Wannahaves http://www.wannahaves.co.uk/sms/ states in its terms and conditions that, "This competition is subject exclusively to Dutch law and organized in accordance with the Code of Practice of the ICSTIS in the United Kingdom." Here is a link to the Sweepstakes portion of the Dutch Advertising Code: "CODE FOR SWEEPSTAKES" http://www.vea.nl/content.php?page_id=183&locale=en_US. For general information on the Dutch Advertising Code, visit http://www.vea.nl/page.php?page_id=52&locale=en_US. Here is additional information relating to the Dutch Advertising Code and Contests and Sweepstakes: http://www.reclamecode.nl/boekje/engels/default2.asp Search terms: "Dutch law" contest prize; "Dutch advertising code"; "Dutch advertising code" sweepstakes |
