I read a newsclip regarding the fifteen year old Dali Lama, that he
was missing. His handlers left him in a meditation garden, returned a
short time later and found him missing. Was I mistaken? Where is the
followup? What is the outcome?

I believe it's likely that you read about Ram Bahadur Banjan, a
missing teen boy whom some regard as the reincarnation of Buddha.
Unfortunately, there isn't any outcome to speak of; recent reports say
that he is still missing. Would these news articles be fully
satisfactory as an answer?
