Hey, I will give $ for a solution that actually works!
I need to be able to convert a batch of flv files into mp3 files. flv
files are a type of video format and I want to get the audio out of
them into mp3 as fast and as painlessly as possible.
The only product I found for windows that seems to work ok is called
the Total video Converter..but it crashes when I try to do a batch.
(A batch is more then one file at a time.)
I will take any solution, free or not, but you need to give me enough
information for me to actually get it to work on my computer. If I
can't get it to work, then it is no go.
I am running windows xp and really want this to work on that platform. |

Hello nevadaman-ga,
I have a solution as to how to solve your problem but due to your
strict restrictions in your question I am reluctant to answer it
without further clarification.
Please let me know the following so I can judge whether my solution
would be accepted by you or not:
1) Computer operating system you are using
2) List of programs you have already tried
3) Specifications of your PC (CPU and RAM size)
4) A copy of an FLV file I can try to convert (this is because of your
"no go" restriction. I have tested my solution on my PC and it works
correctly - it may be a problem in your FLV file that causes this
solution not to work on your PC and it would not be fair for my answer
to be ruled out because of that. A copy of one of your FLV files can
be placed online for researchers to work on.

1) Computer operating system you are using
Windows xp. I have 2 good systems available to me.
2) List of programs you have already tried. Total video
converter...and Riva Encoder....
3) Specifications of your PC (CPU and RAM size) 750 MB of ram. Cpu
is over 1.5 GHZ
4) A copy of an FLV file I can try to convert (this is because of your
"no go" restriction. I have tested my solution on my PC and it works
correctly - it may be a problem in your FLV file that causes this
solution not to work on your PC and it would not be fair for my answer
to be ruled out because of that. A copy of one of your FLV files can
be placed online for researchers to work on.
Remember it must work for multiple FLV files at one time. So I will
put a few up...

Thanks for replying with all the details and crucially the examples.
OK, you have already tried my first two choices! My last suggestion
would be to try this one: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=SUPER_1
It may be that you need to convert all the FLV files to something like
AVI/MPG and then use another batch process to rip the audio as an MP3
from these files.
Let me know how you get on and whether you need any further assistance.

I worked on one of my personal FLV files but I did not have time to
try it on any of your supplied ones. If I have time tonight I will
try and look at those for you but I suspect if it did not work for you
it will not for me :-(
