I want to know how to post data to a form using basic_authentication
and Ruby 1.8.2. There is an easy way in Ruby 1.8.3 but I can't use
that version (long story). The 1.8.2 example works fine unless I need
basic authentication, and then it breaks. It has to be a POST request,
not a GET request. I'd also like to know how to encode the form data
for the POST query (I think this is something that is done for you in
versions higher than 1.8.2).
