I have a 160 GB hard drive. I would like to partition it into my c:
drive for main programs, my D: drive into data, pictures, my e: drive
into games and fun. How do I do this? In years past, I was pretty
knowledgable about handling things like this, but I am lost now. My
computer is a Dell E510.

Hi!!

Which is your computer's current status?
Has it an Operative System installed?,
Do you want to do this before installing the operative system
(Windows, Linux, etc.)?
Do you want to format your HD and start a clean installation?
Are you accept as an answer the recommendation of a paid software?
Etc.

More info you give to us, more help we will be able to provide.

Regards,
livioflores-ga

if you have windows xp go to administrative tools in control panel
then computer managment and then storage etc... is easy
this way you can even partition external usb hard drives

if you do a first clean instalation you should set partititions before
instaling windows

partition commander, I will give you step by step support if you can
tell me which program you would like to use
