in the Manchester (UK) area - say 30 miles around Manchester?

Asking for a "full list" of anything presents problems. It is
difficult, if not impossible, for Google Answers Researchers to
guarantee the completeness of a list. Questions which request a full
list sometimes go unanswered.

Knowing a little about Manchester, I would guess that a list of
completely non-smoking pubs in and around the city would be very
short. However, I can give you the name of one - The Waterhouse, on
Princess Street - which belongs to the Wetherspoons chain, which has
experimentally banned smoking is some of its pubs ahead of next years
total ban. However, the next nearest non-smoking Wetherspoons pubs are
in Liverpool (the Welkin) and Birkenhead (the Brass Balance) which are
both more than 30 miles away.

That said, you'd better hurry, as it was recently reported that
Wetherspoons was losing quite a lot of income as a result of its
non-smoking experiment, and it may abandon it.
