Is all or parts of this from a poem, song or greeting card, etc?

Where is it from?

A million times I'll miss you,
a million times I've cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
you never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,
in death I love you still.
And in my heart you hold a place,
no one can ever fill.

Honey it broke my heart to lose you,
but you didn't go alone.
A big part of me went with you,
the day God called you home.

Now you're home with the loved ones,
who have gone on before.
But someday I'll come and join you.
I'll meet you at heaven's door.

Maybe for me it's not time yet,
there's so much work left to do.
The loved ones you left behind
right now they need me too.

So you have a good time with the others
until I see your smiling face.
For now I have to lean on God's mercy
and his tuly amazing Grace.

This poem with several variations is on quite a few memorial websites,
more often with the opening line: "A million times I've missed you."
(instead of "I'll")

This first verse appears a couple of times:

"They say memories are golden,
Well maybe this is true,
But I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you."

I didn' find an author.

According to http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bobbyrivers13, the words are
based on a poem entitled "Home," written by Shirley Alligood after
Elvis Presley's death. You can listen to a sample of Bobby Rivers's
version of the song on the site.
