Can a vacuum booster be tested for leaks off of the vehicle, without
hooking it up to a different vehicle, and without bringing it to a
full 18-20 inches of vacuum pressure? In other words, is it a valid
examination if the vacuum booster is bench tested and shows a
significant leak at 5 inches of vacuum pressure? If necessary, the
relevant vehicle is a 1997 Ford F-150. Thanks.
