I am currently trying to obtain my visa to the U.S. I was
fingerprinted and it came back with a "motor vehicle violation" on
thier system. They cannot complete the processing of the visa until i
bring the details of this case to them in order that they prove that i
did not commit a crime "of moral turpitude." I do not have anyone
that can help me find the details of this case and as it took place in
December 1995/Jan 1996 (I was 20 years old), i have no way of finding
these records. Can you help?

A copy of the citation might suffice. Have you called the RMV?

RMV

The Telephone Center is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00
p.m. except holidays.

Also, do you have the citation number?

If so, it looks as if you may get the details of the case here:

FYI for miso11-ga and cynthia-ga,

The NARA files are most likely for federal cases only, and probably
don't include state/local traffic citation records.

But I certainly do agree that the RMV is an awfully good place to start.

Write to the court asking for a copy of your record. Send a notarized
letter. Most court systems have a website. Find their site for phone
numbers or more information.
