Whilst hosting BBC Radio 1's breakfast show from 1988-1993, Simon ran a successful feature known as 'Confessions'. Whilst he read listeners' confessions a piece of classical music was played. What was that piece of music? |

Dear sammy68-ga, Further to my comment below, the answer has just suddenly popped into my head. It is Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni?s, Adagio for Organ and Strings in G minor. You can listen to a short extract here. Look for the section 'Listen Now', it is listed under there as ?Adagio for Organ and Strings? http://www.last.fm/music/Tomaso%20Giovanni%20Albinoni To compare, the Simon Mayo confessions music can be found on this page. Confessions (bottom right of the page) http://www.radiorewind.co.uk/simon_mayo_page.htm Or a direct link to one of them http://www.radiorewind.co.uk/sounds/1136_simon_mayo_confession_the_naughty_air_hostess.mp3 It has also been used in the film, Gallipoli. I hope this answers your question. If it does not, or the answer is unclear, then please ask for clarification of this research before rating the answer. I shall respond to the clarification request as soon as I receive it. Thank you |

This is so infuriating!!!!!!! The music is here. I know it, but my mind is a blank and just can?t remember the composer and title. Over to my fellow researchers who have better memories than me. http://www.radiorewind.co.uk/sounds/1136_simon_mayo_confession_the_naughty_air_hostess.mp3 Confessions (bottom right of the page) http://www.radiorewind.co.uk/simon_mayo_page.htm |
