As a small business owner trying to get marketing leads, I subscribed
to hoovers a couple of months ago. I find it useless to create my
clientlist to be inaccurate (incorrect contacts, non-updated names)
and incomplete (companies 1-5M for my business class). Hoovers showed
policy at http://premium.hoovers.com/global/corp/index.xhtml?pageid=10111
indicating that I cannot unsubscribe and get refund for the unused
portion. The annual fee is 5k. I am scheduled payment in 4 parts.

Is there any way out? Do I have to pay for a service that I find
incomplete and useless?? What is the worst that can happen if I don't
pay. I am a small business S corporation.

I see that Hoovers claims Texas law and, assumably, they are based in Texas.

Where do you live? In what state is your corporation chartered?
