Hi, I am looking for what alternatives there are for a merchant to
handle transactions in Japanese yen online other than through paypal.
Generally you need a merchant account and a gateway and both have to
deal with yen for it to work. There is another type of solution and
that is where an outside company handles the entire transaction and
usually (I am not sure if it is always) the customer has to leave the
original website and then make the payment and then be redirected back
to the original website. This is not generally as good as the customer
feels less secure and has less confidence in the original website.
I would like to have a list of sites that offer merchant accounts that
handle yen, a list of gateways that handle yen, and a list of sites
that offer to handle the whole thing for you whether or not they force
the customer to go off the original site or not.
