Question ID: 708198
Is there a way to retrieve deleted e-mails in a g-mail account. I had
permanently deleted them but there were threats in them that I need to
have printed to take to court to get a restraining order. Are there
permanent files of e-mails that are on the server of g-mail that I can
obtain. How do I go about obtaining these?

They are permanently deleted. You can't get them. That's why you
should never delete anything that is not spam. With two gigs of space
why would you?

"...Gmail simplifies this process by placing your messages in 'All
Mail' when you use the archive function.

'All Mail' is the holding place for all of the messages you've sent or
received, but not deleted. When you delete a message, it's gone
forever. With Gmail, you have enough storage space to last for years
without deleting a single message. Just archive everything and all
your messages will be searchable and easily accessible."

If you can get a judge to issue a subpoena, then Google will have to
turn over all emails in the account, including deleted ones.

However, if you use Google Desktop, and you luckily had enabled it to
index your Gmail account, those mails might still be on the cache of
the Desktop Search, however this cache is not permanent as I
understand.

I hope this could help.
