I would like to know the remote control code that will set my DVD
player (Nexxtech ESDVD100) set as a region free dvd player (I have dvd
from Europe and from US).

Try opening tray, press on the remote, stop-2-3-7-9, press arrow down
until 0 and press ok.

Apparently there is no way to do this (I've send an email to the
manufacturer !), but I'll try your trick Steve.

it will only play DVD discs on Region 1.

did you try the dvd hacks ? they are not official but generally work.

I don't know of any code for that machine but the best type of mods
are electronic. Many companies offer lifetime warranties on their
modded region free and region free/converting dvd players that they
will play ALL DVD movies from every country, ever region, every
standard as long as you own the player. These electronic mods require
opening the case and often soldering new chips etc. but the result is
that they overcome RCE/REA attempts to make playing all region discs
impossible. The non-converting types require either a PAL-NTSC TV or a
video standards converter but a converting type allows you to use a TV
or only PAL or NTSC. The company below offers such devices and gives
you the lifetime warranty. They've been in biz. since 1994 and really
know what they're talking about.
