In the 13 March edition of the China Daily, in an article entitled
"County hospitals offer hope for cancer victims"

writes:

"...Mao, sensing the increasing gap in medical care between rural and
urban areas, urged the health ministry to put emphasis on medical
facilities in rural areas on June 26, 1965.

"Known as the Instruction 626, Mao's message pushed for a spread of a
collective medical syst2em of 'barefoot doctors' in village and
township clinics."

I would like to learn more about Instruction 626 - in English or in
Chinese. I have done several searches in both the public Internet and
using scholar.google.com to no avail.

I have already found information about Mao's "barefoot doctors" -
although I was hoping to find the text of the actual speech itself and
the official policy that resulted from it.
