Yes. Fortunately, Catholic bishops in a third of the country's
dioceses have issued a one-day Special Dispensation. You should check
with your local priest to see if you are in a diocese that can eat
corned beef whilst protecting your mortal soul.

If not, consider a trip to Washington DC or New York City, bith places
that allow damnation-free meat eating today.

No wonder George Carlin prays to Joe Pesci...

During the Spanish Revolution in the 1930s, the Pope granted all
Spaniards dispensation from Friday fasting, I understand, but you
probably are not Spanish. The Seven Deadly Sins are a lot more fun
than just eating meat on Fridays:

My opinion; NO, I'm not catholic though.
I would be much more concerned with the things that I say than what I eat.

Mat 15:16-20
So Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding?

"Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into
the stomach and is eliminated?

"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart,
and they defile a man.

"For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries,
fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

Mark 7:14-15
When He had called all the multitude to Himself, He said to them,
"Hear Me, everyone, and understand:

"There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him;
but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile
a man.

This is a " FOR CATHOLICS ONLY" rule. It is not supported by the Bible.
The 'rule' may have applied in the Old Testament, but Jesus changed
all that with the New Testament, when the message of the Good News was
taken to the Gentiles, starting with the Roman, cornelius, the jews
were finally no longer the 'chosen' race, and the world was the '
target. Acts 11;9 The second time the voice from heaven answered, ?You
stop calling defiled the things God has cleansed.?
