I'm looking for a summer camp program that would allow my son, 12, to
learn to build go-karts from experts. He is interested in motors,
souping up vehicles, welding and racing. Ideally, I'd like a
week-long program. It can be anywhere in the U.S., but it has to be
VERY well-run, safe and well established. Note that I do not want
go-kart plans, or kits -- but an actual school/camp facility. Note
that I do not want only a racing camp, but a place where he can learn
to build. Note that a program for car-crazy kids might also work. |

faster than the competition? Would you like to learn some of the
automotive and construction basics of the automobiles of today? Well,
here is your chance. In this course you will have the opportunity to
design, build, and race a Go-Kart. This two-week course will have you
doing all the hands-on technical work from cutting the wood materials
to constructing the Go-Kart body and frame, from assembling the
steering and the axles to adding the wheels and putting on the
driver?s helmet. The last day of the course will be your opportunity
to show off your Go-Kart and race it for your friends and family in
the Summer@SAIT competition."
